Position:
Develop a supportive relationship with clients and assist children and families in addressing needs and meeting goals with the overall objective of achieving solutions that promote stability and permanency. A Typical Day as a
Community Outreach Worker:
Support children, teens, adults, and families that are experiencing crisis Offer families a variety of tools to help in their success by using a trauma-responsive and family-centered approach Collaborate with clients to develop strength's based goals Engage with families and clients by visiting them in a variety of settings to support their goals
Location:
2610 W. Richwoods Blvd. Peoria, IL with willingness to travel and spend several hours in the field visiting client's homes, communities, and attending court. This office provides services to the following counties:
Peoria, Woodford, Tazewell, and Fulton Work Hours:
Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around the availability of youth and families served Does the Following Apply to You? Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Service, or related field
Additional Qualifications:
Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting Must be at least 21 years of age Obtain an insured vehicle At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
