Job Description
Job Summary The Bilingual Recovery Coach provides non-clinical, peer-based recovery support through Rockland Council's Recovery & Family Center, serving individuals impacted by addiction. This part-time role provides individualized recovery coaching, group support, connection to community resources, and overdose prevention education. The coach helps participants identify and work toward their own recovery goals, navigate systems and resources, strengthen wellness, and build supportive connections. The coach uses personal or family lived experience, training, and recovery-oriented skills to empower participants and support multiple pathways to recovery. Responsibilities Provide individualized peer recovery coaching to individuals at various stages of recovery, in both English and Spanish. Support participants in identifying personal recovery and wellness goals and developing steps to work toward those goals. Provide non-clinical support while respecting individual choice and multiple pathways to recovery. Facilitate and co-lead recovery support groups. Assist participants in accessing and navigating community resources. Conduct overdose prevention trainings and provide education regarding Naloxone. Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required. Participate in supervision, staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training. Qualifications Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA or CRPA-P) or Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) preferred but will consider candidates who are not yet certified. Individuals with lived experience are encouraged to apply. High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Work Schedule 20 hours a week, $24 per hour
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday:
10:00 AM - 3:00
PM Friday:
