As a Social Service Aide, you will help people with mental health needs with daily living activities.Responsibilities:
Treat all people with care and fairness Assist in reaching goals and task by instructing residents in proper techniques for daily living Provide individual support and run therapeutic activities Drive and accompany clients to programs and activities Track and chart client progress toward goals Ensure overall resident safety at all times Immediately report all emergencies, accidents, or incidents to the director Protect resident rights and maintain strict confidentiality Keep the facility and company vehicles safe and hazard-free Assist residents with self-medication as prescribed Handle other duties as assignedEducation:
High School High School Diploma or GED Act 33/34 clearances Valid PA driver's license State Police clearancesBondable Physical:
Standing /Walking Skills:
Strong communication and empathy skills Strict understanding of confidentiality Training in personal care, mental health, CPR and First Aid Understanding of metal health, Ability to lead groups and solve problems Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, Willingness to drive as neededRelated Experience:
