Dean's Professional Services is now hiring a qualified Child Life Assistant to work Part-Time in a large healthcare organization in the Houston area.
Child Life Assistant Job Details:
Schedule:
Saturday and Sunday | 9:00am - 7:30pm
Location:
Texas Medical Center (TMC) Houston
Starting Pay Rate:
$21.00 / Hourly (Based on experience)
Temporary to hire
Job Responsibilities:
Provide bedside play, recreation, and educational activities for pediatric patients.
Supervise patient activity spaces and assist with special events and programs.
Plan and support patient activities and programming.
Deliver and distribute equipment, supplies, and donations.
Assist with transporting patients to activities and events.
Maintain accurate attendance and activity records.
Assist Child Life Specialists with pediatric volunteers.
Provide support and engagement for patients unable to leave their rooms.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1+ year of experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults in healthcare, childcare, education, recreation, or youth program CPR certification required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative, patient, and adaptable when working with children with varying needs.
Comfortable providing bedside activities and support in a pediatric healthcare environment.
Preferred:
Associate's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or a related field.
