Job Description

YOUTH SERVICES ASSISTANT
DIRECTOR- This full time position coordinates, plans, implements, manages and assesses recreational and learning activities, including workshops, field trips and special events. Will report and coordinate with the Director of Youth Services. Will require working hours when youth are not typically in school. Work hours will flex around weekly activities planned with the expectation that regular hours will be late afternoon, evenings and weekends to coincide with youth center hours of operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in education, human services, recreation management or a related field. Must possess and maintain a current valid MI. driver's license while meeting all insurance carrier requirements. Must be able to obtain a chauffer's license and necessary endorsements to drive company vehicle; experience facilitating/coordinating activities for children ages 7-19 years and their families; knowledge of current youth issues and trends; basic computer knowledge-windows, excel, google suite application; ability to problem solve regarding youth behavior issues; to manage multiple tasks at one time in a stressful environment; to form relationships with youth and engage with them about issues and concerns important to them; must be a good role model at work and in the community; able to pass a school background and drug test.
WAGE:
N8 ($16.47-$24.45) or dependent upon qualifications.
