Duties Provide peer-led support and mentorship to individuals experiencing behavioral health or addiction challenges, sharing personal experiences to inspire hope and resilience Conduct crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations and ensure safety for clients and staff Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients' motivation for change and recovery goals Collaborate with clinical teams by documenting interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure seamless care coordination Assist clients in navigating mental health counseling, social services, and community resources tailored to their needs Support clients in developing coping strategies, life skills, and relapse prevention plans Maintain a positive, energetic attitude that fosters trust, engagement, and empowerment among clients Requirements Lived experience with behavioral health recovery or addiction that aligns with the role's peer support philosophy Demonstrated ability in crisis intervention and crisis management techniques Knowledge of mental health counseling principles and behavioral health practices Experience mentoring or coaching individuals through recovery or life challenges Familiarity with addiction counseling approaches and social work concepts is preferred Proficiency in motivational interviewing methods to facilitate client engagement and goal setting Ability to operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately and efficiently Strong communication skills with an energetic, motivating presence that inspires hope and resilience This position is paid, recognizing the value of lived experience as a vital component of effective support.
