As we expand our program, we're looking for a compassionate, dedicated Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our clinical team. Job Summary We are seeking a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor to provide individual and group counseling to clients in a residential treatment setting. The ideal candidate is passionate about recovery, skilled in evidence-based counseling approaches, and comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. Responsibilities Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with clients in recovery from substance use disorders Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans Complete required clinical documentation, case notes, and progress reports in a timely manner Perform intake assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations as needed Collaborate with medical staff, case managers, and other treatment team members Facilitate psychoeducational groups covering topics such as relapse prevention, coping skills, and life skills Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 Participate in staff meetings, clinical supervision, and case consultations Support crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed Qualifications ADC, LAADAC, or LADAC certification/licensure through the Arkansas Substance Abuse Certification Board (ASACB) or Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling — required or in progress Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in behavioral health, psychology, social work, or related field preferred Prior experience in a residential or outpatient substance abuse treatment setting preferred Strong understanding of the 12 core functions of substance use disorder counseling Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain professionalism and boundaries in a clinical setting Must pass background check and drug screening
