Job Description

Mountain View Detox Acton, California—conveniently located between Santa Clarita and Palmdale Part-Time | 30 Hours per
Week Pay:
$25-$28 per hour, depending on experience About Us Mountain View Detox is a six-bed, co-ed residential substance use disorder treatment and detoxification program. Because we are a smaller program, our team can provide individualized attention and meaningful support to each person in our care. We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and organized certified substance abuse counselor/case manager to join our team. This is a combined position providing both counseling and case-management services to an assigned caseload. The ideal candidate can connect with clients, maintain appropriate boundaries, work well with a treatment team, and complete documentation accurately and on time. Responsibilities Welcome and orient newly admitted clients to the program. Provide individual substance use disorder counseling and case-management services. Complete screenings, intake documentation, and other assessments within the counselor's professional scope. Collaborate with clients and the treatment team to develop and update individualized treatment plans. Help clients identify recovery goals, barriers, and needed community resources. Facilitate recovery-focused educational and process groups. Coordinate services with therapists, medical providers, referral sources, and other members of the treatment team. Provide MAT coordination as needed Participate in weekly clinical meetings, case consultations, supervision, and required staff training. Complete counseling, case management, group, and coordination-of-care notes in the electronic medical record within required timeframes. Assist with urine drug screenings and related documentation when assigned and properly trained. Provide appropriate crisis support and promptly report safety, medical, behavioral, or client-care concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Work with clients and the treatment team to develop discharge and continuing-care plans, including referrals to the next appropriate level of care. Follow professional ethical standards, facility policies, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and client-confidentiality requirements. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Current substance use disorder counselor certification in good standing through a DHCS-recognized certifying organization, such as CADC, CATC, or SUDCC. At least one year of experience providing direct services in substance use disorder treatment, mental health, behavioral health, or a related setting. Residential treatment or detoxification experience is preferred. Case management experience is a must. Knowledge of substance use disorders, relapse prevention, co-occurring conditions, crisis response, and recovery resources. Knowledge of MAT Strong communication, organization, documentation, and time-management skills. Ability to work compassionately and professionally with clients from different backgrounds. Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records. Current CPR/First Aid certification and tuberculosis clearance, or the ability to obtain them before beginning work. Schedule and Compensation This is an in-person, part-time position scheduled for 30 hours per week . The specific schedule will be discussed during the interview based on program and client needs. Pay is $25-$28 per hour , depending on certification, experience, and qualifications.
