$18.00 - $27.00 / hr Will Train Applicant(s): Clinical Director and Level III Counselor DUI Counselor Job Description Roles And Responsibilities Genesis Programs Inc. is seeking a full-time DUI Counselor to support the clinical team in delivering day-to-day DUI program services. The DUI Counselor plays an important role in promoting healthy living and helping reduce repeat DUI offenses. Key responsibilities include supporting program compliance, coordinating community resources, and assisting participants as needed. Primary duties include conducting face-to-face interviews, completing alcohol and other drug (AOD) assessments, interpreting assessment results, leading group education and counseling sessions, and documenting service delivery. Qualified candidates must be certified or registered with a state-approved Alcohol and Other Drugs certifying organization and be in good standing. Candidates should have at least one year of experience providing direct clinical services as a substance use disorder counselor. Ideal candidates are dependable, adaptable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage stress effectively. Strong communication, active listening, time management, accuracy, teamwork, and computer skills are important for success in this role. Key competencies include participant confidentiality, professional conduct, AOD assessment and interpretation, case management, group facilitation, motivational interviewing, and cultural sensitivity.
