Position Summary We are seeking a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) to provide direct counseling services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The ideal candidate is empathetic, organized, and passionate about helping clients achieve long-term recovery. Key Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling sessions Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Facilitate psychoeducational groups and relapse prevention strategies Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members Ensure compliance with Connecticut state regulations and ethical standards Participate in case conferences and team meetings Qualifications Active Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) credential in Connecticut High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's or bachelor's preferred) Minimum 1-2 years of experience in substance use treatment (preferred) Knowledge of evidence-based practices (CBT, MI, relapse prevention) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work with diverse populations Preferred Qualifications Experience in outpatient, IOP, or residential treatment settings Bilingual (Spanish or other languages a plus) Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate or salary (based on experience) Flexible scheduling options Paid time off and holidays Professional development and training opportunities Supportive and collaborative team culture Work Environment Supportive, team-oriented culture Opportunities for growth and advancement Meaningful, impact-driven work helping individuals and families How to Apply Please submit your resume here via
