Intensive Outpatient Therapist Mountain Comprehensive Care Center is hiring an Intensive Outpatient Therapist to serve individuals who are stepping down from inpatient residential substance use treatment. This position provides structured Intensive Outpatient Program services for clients continuing their recovery in a lower level of care while maintaining clinical support, accountability, and connection to community-based resources. Position Overview The Intensive Outpatient Therapist provides addiction-focused services for adolescents and adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. This role supports clients transitioning from residential treatment into Intensive Outpatient services through assessment, ASAM level-of-care determination, individual therapy, group facilitation, treatment planning, documentation, and coordination with court and community systems. This position requires strong clinical judgment, knowledge of substance use treatment, understanding of step-down care, and the ability to support clients as they continue building recovery skills and stability outside of a residential setting. Key Responsibilities The Intensive Outpatient Therapist will: Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for adolescent and adult clients. Determine appropriate level of care using ASAM criteria. Provide individual therapy and facilitate IOP group services for clients with Substance Use Disorders. Assess and treat co-occurring mental health symptoms as clinically appropriate. Develop diagnostic impressions based on client history, substance use patterns, risk factors, functional impairment, and treatment needs. Develop, implement, review, and update individualized treatment plans. Monitor client progress and support step-down, discharge, and termination planning based on clinical need. Support continuity of care for clients transitioning from inpatient residential treatment to IOP services. Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate treatment, referrals, and program services. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with MCCC policies and organizational, state, and federal standards. Provide counseling, referrals, and resource coordination for clients and families. Participate in staff meetings, supervision, case consultation, and required trainings. Maintain active coordination with community partners, including drug court, probation and parole, Department of Corrections, and other referral sources. Work within a team-based model to deliver comprehensive care across the treatment continuum. Uphold professional ethics, continuity of care, confidentiality, and quality standards. Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines. Complete additional duties as assigned by leadership.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

T-CADC, CADC, LPCA, CSW, LPA, MFTA, or equivalent required. Must have a valid Kentucky motor vehicle operator's license. IOP experience preferred.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to evaluate needs of clients. Knowledge of overall objectives and treatment concepts of substance use. Knowledge of rules, regulations, and laws pertaining to the care and treatment mental/behavior disorders and SUD clients. Good verbal and written skills; patience and flexibility. Ability to maintain accurate records and reports. Ability to communicate with others in a professional manner. An eclectic knowledge base.
