Job Description
MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to provide compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals with opioid use disorder in our outpatient program. In this role, you will conduct assessments, develop person-centered treatment plans, and deliver individual and group counseling using modalities such as MI and CBT. You will collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team, including medical providers, to support safe and effective medication-assisted treatment. The ideal candidate is mission-driven, ethical, and skilled in documentation, patient engagement, and relapse-prevention focused care. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling to patients with opioid use disorder Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver evidence-based interventions for substance use and co-occurring disorders Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and case managers on integrated care Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulations Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Educate patients and families on recovery, relapse prevention, and resources Ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards (HIPAA) Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality improvement Engage in ongoing training and professional development Required Skills Substance use disorder counseling Biopsychosocial assessment Treatment planning and documentation Motivational interviewing (MI) Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques Group counseling and psychoeducation Crisis intervention and risk assessment Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Regulatory compliance (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2)
