CAP Quality Care is offering a full-time position (40 hrs.' per week) for a substance use disorder counselor, (LADC or CADC). Our expectations are realistic, and caseloads do not exceed state requirements. Clinical hours are early mornings, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility, and some Saturdays required. We pay for license renewal and CEU requirements. We believe that direct patient contact is paramount to developing a therapeutic relationship and thus offer only in-person, on site employment. CAP Quality Care is an opioid treatment program in Westbrook, Maine that prescribes Methadone to individuals suffering from opioid disorder. This treatment is the gold standard of OUD treatment and provides excellent experience working closely with patients. Substance Use Disorder Counselor:

• Conduct screenings to determine a person's eligibility for admission.
• Complete intakes with biopsychosocial histories to identify and evaluate each individual's strengths and areas of improvement.
• Complete assessments and a biopsychosocial history to identify and evaluate patient's strengths, weaknesses, problems and needs.
• Complete treatment plans with patients- establishing agreed upon immediate, short-term and long-term goals.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions.
• Provide referrals, case management services, and crisis intervention to our patients as needed.
• Excellent documentation of all above responsibilities.

Requirements:

Active CADC or LADC license for the state of Maine. Commitment to compassionate care. Excellent communication skills. Ability to be adaptable and flexible.
