Clinical Director / Director of Substance Abuse Counseling

Job Description

Enlighten Recovery is a new Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Sussex County, NJ, serving adults in alcohol and drug recovery. We are building our founding clinical team and are hiring our Clinical Director / LCADC to lead the clinical program.
Role summary:
This is the required clinical lead position for our SUD program. You will hold clinical authority for the IOP, report directly to Administrators/Ownership, and provide supervision and compliance sign-off for all clinical staff and documentation. This is the top clinical leadership role in our organization, with no other clinical position above it.
Key responsibilities:
Own overall clinical program quality and treatment approach for the IOP Design, build, and continually refine our IOP clinical programming, including group curricula, treatment tracks, and level-of-care protocols, as the senior-most clinical leader in the organization Supervise all internal clinical staff, including Counselors/Group Facilitators and the Intake/Admin Coordinator Review and sign clinical documentation, treatment plans, and progress notes as required by NJ licensing Ensure IOP groups, individual sessions, and treatment plans meet state, payer, and program standards Provide direct clinical guidance and coaching to Counselors running groups and individual sessions Coordinate with our Administrators on licensing, compliance, and policy needs Liaise with our medical/psych referral network for clients needing detox, psychiatric care, or a higher level of care Support discharge planning and continuity of care
Qualifications:
Active LCADC license in New Jersey (required) Prior clinical leadership experience in an SUD or IOP setting Working knowledge of NJ outpatient SUD licensing requirements Strong documentation, supervisory, and communication skills Reports to:

$35.84 - $43.16 per hour
