65,000 Per Year Description Seeking a dedicated professional to join our clinical team as a full-time Addiction Counselor in Richmond Hill, NY.
This position focuses on supporting patients with substance use disorders through individual counseling and group facilitation. The role requires a trauma-informed approach and collaboration with various teams to ensure comprehensive care. Requirements Experience managing a caseload of patients with substance use disorders. Proficiency in conducting assessments, screenings, and intakes. Ability to facilitate and co-facilitate therapeutic groups. Experience in crisis intervention and psychoeducation. Strong collaboration skills with internal and external teams. Competence in maintaining accurate documentation. Flexibility to work Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat from 1:00pm-9:00pm. Qualifications CASAC required, CASAC T or CASAC (Full) required CASAC T with minimum 1 year experience will be considered Relevant certification or licensure in addiction counseling. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. Strong understanding of trauma-informed care practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of referral processes and patient care coordination. Experience with psychoeducation and therapeutic group facilitation.
