Job Description

MedMark Treatment Centers seeks a Chemical Dependency Counselor to provide compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals with opioid use disorder in our outpatient programs. In this role, you will complete assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver individual and group counseling focused on recovery and long-term wellness. You will collaborate closely with medical and interdisciplinary team members to support outcomes-based treatment, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments and intake evaluations for new patients Develop and update individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Provide individual and group counseling focused on opioid use disorder recovery Collaborate with medical and interdisciplinary team members on coordinated care Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulations Educate patients and families on treatment options, recovery resources, and harm reduction Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions, and participate in case reviews Support a culture of compassion, respect, and patient-centered care Ensure compliance with
HIPAA, 42 CFR
Part 2, and all clinical policies Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Substance use assessment Individual counseling Group counseling/facilitation Treatment planning Motivational interviewing Crisis intervention Clinical documentation/EMRKnowledge of opioid use disorder and MATCase management and referral Regulatory compliance (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2)
