License Chemical Dependency Counselor Summary:

The Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern under the supervision of a QCC will coordinate services to assist in alleviating and treating substance abuse disorders. The LCDC-I will assess the needs of services for families and individuals that are seeking assistance for a SUD related disorder. 1. The LCDC-I is responsible for identifying, screening, assessing, and diagnosing referred clients for substance abuse treatment. 2. Must have an understanding of evidence based models and be flexible in the implementation of treatment approaches. 3. Functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and assists in providing care and treatment that is appropriate to the ages and populations served, specifically adolescents, adults, and older adults. 4. The LCDC-I is to facilitate didactic and process groups. 5. Meet with clients individual weekly or as required by funding sources. 6. Ensures the safe care of patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standard of care according to DSHS Code of Ethics. 7. Weekly supervision to be provided for LCDC-I by the program Supervisor.(QCC) 8. GCRS,Inc is a CTI Institute that provides training and education for preparation of LCDC Exam. 9. Will attend Monthly trainings that focus on clinical development.
