Addiction Therapy, Substance Abuse, Trauma, and Recovery Treatment Job Summary:
Our addiction treatment center is seeking a Clinical Therapist with a specialization in addiction therapy, substance abuse, trauma, and recovery treatment. The Clinical Therapist will be responsible for providing evidence-based individual and group therapy services to clients struggling with addiction, substance abuse, PTSD, and trauma. The ideal candidate will have experience in addiction treatment and trauma therapy, knowledge of addiction and recovery principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of clients' addiction and substance abuse history, mental health status, and trauma history
Develop individualized treatment plans that address clients' unique needs, goals, and preferences, including PTSD and trauma-related symptoms
Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy services that focus on addiction and substance abuse treatment, trauma, and recovery
Monitor clients' progress in treatment and adjust treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to provide comprehensive, coordinated care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and treatment outcomes
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in addiction treatment, trauma, and recovery
Requirements:
Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
Current licensure or certification as a clinical therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in addiction treatment, trauma therapy, and recovery
Knowledge of addiction and recovery principles, evidence-based addiction therapies, trauma-focused therapies, and related mental health issues
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with trauma, PTSD, and substance abuse issues. 2. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based trauma-focused and substance abuse treatment modalities. 3. Collaborate with clients to set goals and monitor progress throughout treatment. 4. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans. 5. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in trauma and substance abuse treatment. 6. Work collaboratively with other members of the treatment team, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and case managers. 7. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed. 8. Participate in quality improvement activities and program development to enhance treatment outcomes. 9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all aspects of client care. 10. Attend regular supervision and team meetings to review cases and discuss clinical issues.
