In this energetic position, you will lead youth programs, supervise children during afterschool hours, and facilitate a variety of educational and recreational activities. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help inspire young minds, promote positive behavior, and support their overall development. Responsibilities Supervise children and youth during afterschool programs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging activities including sports, arts, theater, outdoor games, and educational projects that promote teamwork and personal growth Implement behavior management strategies to foster a positive environment and encourage respectful interactions among participants Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid protocols, CPR procedures, AED operation guidelines, and emergency response procedures when necessary Collaborate with team members to develop age-appropriate curriculum tailored to diverse needs, including special education considerations Support youth in developing social skills, leadership qualities, and healthy habits through mentorship and program participation Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, school staff, and community partners to ensure program success and participant safety Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain order while encouraging creativity and independence Experience working with children of various ages in educational or recreational settings such as camps or daycare environments Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Ability to lead youth group activities confidently while demonstrating patience and understanding First aid certification (CPR/AED) with familiarity in first aid protocols for emergencies involving children Proven experience in behavior management techniques suitable for young children and adolescents Background in sports coaching, theater arts, or outdoor work enhances your ability to create diverse engaging activities Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners Join us in making a difference!
