Job Description
We are seeking additional Master's level practitioners in Brevard County to conduct comprehensive assessments on children removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect and/or abandonment. An hourly rate of $30.00 for billable hours, not to exceed 20 hours per assessment or $600.00 per CBHA for unlicensed providers $35.00 for billable hours, not to exceed 20 hours per assessment or $700.00 per CBHA for licensed assessors.
Requirements:
You must have a Master's Degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, and/or a human services field and have knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and Medicaid documentation requirements. If Licensed - you must be licensed pursuant to Chapter 491, Florida Statues and must have a minimum of 2 year's full-time work experience working directly with children and families who are victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, or youth who have been adjudicated delinquent and committed and are emotionally disturbed. You must have a minimum of 2 year working experience directly related to CBHAs (i.e. writing, reviewing, etc.) If Non-Licensed - must have at minimum of 5 year's full-time work experience working directly with children and families who are victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, or youth who have been adjudicated delinquent and committed and are emotionally disturbed. You must also have a minimum of 2 year's experience working with foster parents. You MUST have a list of current (within the last two years) conferences and workshops attended, dedicated to relevant child and family treatment, and must carry current and valid Individual Professional Liability Insurance Coverage as well as proper car insurance. Hours are flexible within required deadlines. Florida Medicaid # required, but you can start the process of certification and training prior to receiving the Medicaid number. Time spent on administrative functions, including travel is not reimbursable.
