Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Before and After School Program Professional in Destin! In this energetic role, you will lead engaging youth programs designed to foster growth, safety, and fun for children before and after school hours. Your enthusiasm and leadership will create a positive environment where children feel supported, supervised, and inspired to explore new activities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while developing your skills in youth development, behavior management, and team collaboration. Responsibilities Supervise children during before and after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, sports, outdoor games, and educational projects Maintain a structured environment that promotes positive behavior through effective classroom management techniques Implement first aid protocols and respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies using CPR and AED equipment when necessary Collaborate with team members to develop engaging youth programs that support childhood development and early education goals Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and program participation Uphold all safety standards, including child supervision policies, first aid procedures, and outdoor work safety measures Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain upon hire Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide children in a variety of activities Experience with special education needs or childhood development is a plus Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions during outdoor activities Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively Embark on a rewarding journey where your energy fuels the growth of young minds!
