Non-Exempt $50,000/year Primary Function The Counselor will provide trauma-informed emotional and social support to youth participants in the Kindergarten to Career Coaching Program . This role focuses on individual counseling, small-group workshops, and collaborative efforts to ensure participants develop resilience, executive function skills, and the social-emotional tools needed to thrive. Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities)
Counseling and Emotional Support:
Conduct individual counseling sessions to address academic, emotional, and social challenges. Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution services as needed. Facilitate small-group sessions on topics such as self-esteem, emotional regulation, trauma recovery, and healthy decision-making.
Collaboration and Support:
Partner with program staff to ensure trauma-informed care is embedded in all program activities. Engage with families to provide resources and guidance for supporting youth at home. Collaborate with case managers and career coaches to address individual participants' needs holistically.
Documentation and Evaluation:
Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, including goals, progress, and outcomes. Assist in program evaluations to measure emotional and developmental growth.

• Perform other relevant duties as requested.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Experience providing trauma-informed counseling for youth. Strong understanding of social-emotional development and executive function coaching. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situations.
