Job Summary Join our team as an Afterschool and Enrichment Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during afterschool hours. In this energetic position, you will support youth development by facilitating educational and recreational activities, supervising children, and ensuring their well-being through effective behavior management and safety protocols. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a positive atmosphere that encourages growth, learning, and fun for every child. Duties Supervise children ages 5-13 during afterschool programs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Lead and assist in a variety of enrichment activities such as arts and crafts, sports, theater, tutoring, and outdoor games Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and clear expectations Implement first aid procedures when necessary, including CPR and AED operation, following established protocols Collaborate with team members to plan engaging youth group activities that promote social skills and personal development Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports to ensure compliance with safety standards Experience Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and emergency response protocols Experience facilitating youth development programs or extracurricular activities such as theater or outdoor recreation Background in early childhood education or childhood development is advantageous Proven ability to lead teams or groups of children confidently while maintaining a positive environment Familiarity with special education needs and behavior management strategies for children with different learning styles Join us to make a meaningful impact on young lives!
