Job Description

Position Summary:
The Youth Program Counselor guides and ensures the safety of children as they engage in camp activities. Assists with activity planning and receive special training to fully support kids' needs during their stay at the camp. Works with children, co-workers, and other staff to provide a safe and beneficial summer day camp experience in a Christian environment. To help provide a fun and a safe place for youth to play and to learn values that will stick with them for a lifetime.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide sports/arts/education/mentoring programs for youth ages 5 to 16.Help with the day-to-day activities of the Fusion Program, such as:

Recreation activitiesHelp tutor & supervise the homework roomEncouraging teens to come to youth group eventsBe aware of and follow all safety precautions and procedures.

Help with the maintenance of all areas used by the program.

Assist with the preparation and distribution of daily snack.

Assist the director in whatever manner needed.

Keep records in compliance with standards in order to assure program evaluation/certification requirements.

Keep the Family and Youth Ministries Coordinator informed on all critical issues.

Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
High school diploma / GED, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities1+ year experience working with children preferred.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Ability to collaborate on social issues within kids, families and communities.
Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePointWillingness to learn new software as needed
Certificates and Licenses:
