Bilingual Licensed Clinician (Spanish/English)

Job Description

Position Summary:
The Bilingual Licensed Clinician will provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed counseling services to Union County youth and families. This role is critical in addressing Disproportionate Minority Contact (DMC) by providing accessible services in both English and Spanish to youth who are disproportionately represented in the justice system. It is estimated that 300 hours will be dedicated to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Bilingual Counseling:
Conduct individual and family counseling sessions in English and Spanish, ensuring services are culturally sensitive and accessible.
Assessment & Planning:
Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized service plans for a portion of the 50 unduplicated youth served by the program.
Family Engagement:
Facilitate family counseling sessions to strengthen home-based support systems and communication.
Flexible Delivery:
Provide services in community-based settings or via telehealth, with flexible scheduling to accommodate participants' school or work commitments.
Data Entry:
Maintain timely and accurate records of all units of service (sessions) and client progress within the JAMS system.
Collaboration:
Work closely with UWGUC's Youth Corps and WIOA Youth One-Stop staff to support the holistic needs of participants.
Qualifications:
Licensure:
Must hold a valid New Jersey clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LSW, LAC).
Language:
Must be fluently bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experience:
Experience working with at-risk youth populations, particularly those facing economic hardship, academic disengagement, or community violence.
Contract Period:
May 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026.
Total Caseload:
50 unduplicated youth across the program.
Units of Service:
Up to 375 total counseling sessions (max 15 per youth).
Pay:
$75.00 - $85.00 per hour
