This role is designed for energetic, responsible individuals who are passionate about creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment for young learners. You will support children's development through structured activities, supervision, and positive guidance, ensuring a seamless transition into their daily routines. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while fostering their growth and well-being. Duties Supervise children during before and/or after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Facilitate engaging youth activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor games, reading sessions, and group projects Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline techniques and behavior management strategies Assist with homework help, tutoring, or educational activities aligned with early childhood education principles Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to learning and play Implement first aid protocols and respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies using CPR and AED equipment when necessary (Training Offered through School) Collaborate with team members to develop age-appropriate programming that supports childhood development and youth engagement Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED operation preferred but nor required; ongoing training provided if necessary Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Ability to work outdoors comfortably in various weather conditions during outdoor activities Excellent child supervision skills with a focus on safety and positive reinforcement Experience facilitating youth group activities or theater experience is a plus Demonstrated team leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute to the growth of young children through energetic engagement and responsible supervision.
