Job Description

PRESCHOOL LEAD HOURS
Part-Time Morning Care:

6:30 AM until school starts

Afternoon Care:

From school dismissal until 6:00 PM Candidates may apply for Morning Care, Afternoon Care, or both to create a full‑time position.

SALARY RANGE

$23.00-$26.00 hourly

•For a limited time, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue is offering a signing bonus: $200 after successful verification of 10+ ECE credits and completion of the 90‑day period Additional $300 after 180 days of employment

For nearly 70 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue has provided safe, supportive spaces for Bellevue's youth when they are not in school. We ensure all youth have access to life‑enhancing programming focused on academics, health, and leadership. Our mission is to help young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

BE A LEADER IN PRESCHOOL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Preschool Leads work directly with children ages 3-5 in a licensed program setting, creating engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences that support early learning and social‑emotional growth. The ideal candidate is energetic, patient, and committed to fostering a safe, nurturing environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Lead structured and unstructured activities that support preschoolers' social, emotional, and cognitive development Supervise and engage children in creative play and group learning Support daily routines, transitions, snack time, and hygiene tasks Build positive relationships with children and families Communicate professionally with families, staff, and children Ensure compliance with licensing requirements Provide occasional coverage at other sites to maintain ratios

QUALIFICATIONS A

minimum of 10 ECE credits is required; credits must be verifiable in MERIT or supported by official transcripts Experience working with preschool-aged children (ages 3-5) Strong communication and classroom‑management skills Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent Must pass a National Background Check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Interest in continuing to earn additional ECE credits toward the 25-45 credit requirement for licensed preschool programming Active MERIT account CPR/First Aid certification Food Handler's Card STARS certificate Updated MMR vaccination

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar youth development setting
