Multiple Associate/Full Professor Tenure System Biostatistician Positions Michigan State University Flint,Michigan, United States The College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University (MSU) invites applications for multiple tenured,full-time research faculty positions within the Charles Stewart Mott Department of Public Health in Flint, Michigan. Backed by a $25million gift from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, MSU offers large or fully guaranteed salary coverage for researchers relocatingsubstantial external funding portfolios. Highly accomplished senior faculty may also qualify for the C. S. Mott Endowed Professor of PublicHealth named professorship. About the Department and Community Founded in 2011 through a unique proposal fromFlint-area hospitals and community members, the department operates on an unprecedented community-partnered model. As the first academicdepartment to be co-developed and co-governed in partnership with the communities it serves, local citizens actively shape governance, focusareas, and serve on faculty hiring committees. Flint is a historic hub for community-based participatory research. Thiscommunity-partnered approach has driven the Department's external funding (over $500M since beginning in 2015) and real-world impact.

Featured current projects include two NIH-funded Centers (focused on maternal health equity and suicide prevention) and Rx Kids, thenation's first universal cash prescription program for infants and expectant mothers. About the Positions MSU isseeking one or more biostatisticians to lead and collaborate on federally funded projects and to contribute to transparent and accessiblecommunication of findings to the Flint community and beyond. Positions are 80-90% research effort. Areas of expected expertise include butare not limited to health economics, policy analysis, implementation science, geospatial analysis, biostatistics and research design,analysis of interventions (e.g., difference-in-differences), AI analytics, agent-based modeling, Bayesian modeling, causal inference, andmeasure development. We are seeking exceptional mid-to advanced-career investigators with strong external funding portfolios to fulfill thisrole while also pursuing their own research interests.
