Job Description

Summit Truck Bodies LLC, a quality manufacturer of custom designed service and lube bodies, is expanding its workforce. Summit Truck Bodies, located in Wathena, KS, is looking for a Manufacturing Programmer to operate and monitor robotic press brakes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Import Bill of Materials into automated software.

Make programming adjustments in taught computer manufacturing software.

Verify parts are manufacturable and being made correctly.

Troubleshoot minor positioning errors or software glitches.

Maintains a clean and safe work area, maintains and wears all required personal protective safety equipment.

Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Frequent mobility and/or sitting, standing, bending or stooping for prolonged/extended periods. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. Requires stretching to reach items up to 50 pounds. Requires working in areas which are not ventilated or air-conditioned. Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery.

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity.

Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.

Requires working in a fast-paced environment.

Requires a normal range of hearing and vision.

Must understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations. Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
High School diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with good standing MVR.Prior experience in manufacturing machine operation or metal fabrication is a plus.

Ability to utilize a computer with basic software skills.

Knowledge in Google Sheets or Excel is a plus.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant demands and shifting of priorities.

Superior communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
