In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision-engineered components. Your expertise in machining processes, technical drawings, and programming will ensure the highest quality standards are met while maintaining efficient production workflows. Responsibilities Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to ensure precise machining. Program CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, including Fanuc controls, to produce accurate parts efficiently. Set up and operate CNC equipment, including CNC lathe and CNC milling machines, ensuring proper tooling, calibration, and safety procedures are followed. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and bore gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances during and after machining processes. Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity. Conduct troubleshooting of machining issues by analyzing schematics, electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes, and mechanical systems to identify root causes. Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, program revisions, inspection reports, and maintenance logs for quality control purposes. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathe and CNC milling machine in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or CATIA for designing parts and fixtures. Skilled in CNC programming using G-code or other relevant languages; experience with CAM programming is highly desirable. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings with an emphasis on GD&T standards. Mechanical knowledge of tooling setup, geometry calculations, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and precision measurement instruments. Experience working within lean manufacturing environments to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Ability to interpret schematics and electrical diagrams related to machine operation and maintenance.
