Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Technician to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support across various hardware and software platforms, ensuring seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. Your expertise will help maintain optimal system performance, troubleshoot technical issues efficiently, and deliver exceptional customer service to internal users. Responsibilities Provide technical support for desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals. Troubleshoot hardware issues related to computer hardware, equipment, and network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Resolve software problems including operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), application errors, and software installations or updates. Manage help desk tickets using systems like ServiceNow or Jira, ensuring timely resolution of user requests. Support network administration tasks including TCP/IP configuration, DNS management, LAN/WAN connectivity, and network troubleshooting. Assist with Active Directory management tasks such as user account creation, GPO (Group Policy Object) configuration, and permissions setup. Maintain IT infrastructure documentation and assist in equipment inventory management using tools like SCCM or BMC Remedy. Collaborate with team members on projects involving Windows Server environments and cloud-based solutions such as Meraki or Cisco networking equipment. Conduct routine maintenance on hardware components and assist in deploying new equipment or software upgrades. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with users at all levels and ensuring their technical needs are met promptly. Qualifications Proven experience supporting Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, and Linux operating systems. Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and LAN/WAN troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with help desk systems such as ServiceNow or Jira for ticket management. Familiarity with Active Directory management and Group Policy configuration. Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues related to computer hardware components and peripherals effectively. Knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques for common enterprise applications. Experience supporting mobile devices and remote access solutions using VPNs or similar technologies. Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach to technical support.
