We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Peer Support Specialist/Behavior Technician This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with teenagers and wants to make a meaningful difference every day. Whether you have experience in behavioral health, education, youth services, coaching, residential care, or mentoring, we encourage you to apply. What You'll Do As a peer support specialist/behavior technician, you will play an important role in creating a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for our adolescent clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Safely transporting adolescents to and from our treatment program using a company vehicle. Supporting patients throughout the treatment day. Assisting teens who become anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally dysregulated by helping them utilize healthy coping skills. Providing one-on-one encouragement and emotional support when needed. Assisting therapists and clinical staff during group activities and throughout the day. Helping maintain a structured, positive, and therapeutic environment. Monitoring patient safety and reporting concerns to the clinical team. Participating in therapeutic recreational and life-skills activities. Completing transportation logs and other required documentation. Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be at least 21 years old. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable working with adolescents experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Reliable, compassionate, patient, and able to remain calm in stressful situations. Preferred Experience working with adolescents. Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, residential treatment, education, social services, youth programs, mentoring, or coaching. Peer support certification is a plus but not required.
