Our client, a manufacturing and distribution company, is looking for an IT Support Specialist to join their team in Dayton, NJ . In this direct hire, permanent role, you will provide technical support for hardware, software, and network systems while helping maintain a secure and efficient production IT environment on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and record system performance, availability, and security on a daily basis Perform basic troubleshooting of High Availability Systems to maintain the production environment Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues Support and troubleshoot current software including ERP, WMS, Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, Barcode 400, DocuWare, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Shipping Manager, FortiClient VPN, TeamViewer, and Google Chrome Remote Desktop Inventory, refurbish, and replenish IT assets as needed Support troubleshooting of network connectivity and server issues including LAN/WAN problems Assist in maintenance of workstations, servers, and network devices including IBM servers, Dell servers, Ubiquiti switches, and FortiWan 200E Support Windows Server environments including Windows 2022 Data Center, 2025 Data Center, and 2008 R2 Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps Assist in deploying software updates and patches to ensure systems are current and secure Assist in system upgrades, migrations, and deployments as required Collaborate with the IT team to ensure adherence to security policies and best practices
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred Prior IT support internship, work experience, or relevant certifications equally considered in lieu of a degree Familiarity with Windows operating systems required Basic knowledge of computers and networking Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Bilingual candidates preferred Must be available to work fully on-site — no remote option
