Position Overview We are seeking a senior-level, heavy-hitting Principal / Lead Java Engineer to take complete technical ownership of our massive-scale platforms. You will design, architect, and optimize high-performance distributed systems. This role is ideal for a visionary engineer who thrives on solving complex distributed data challenges and scaling infrastructure to handle massive user loads. This job will be on-site with potential hybrid possibilities.
Key Responsibilities Platform Architecture:
Lead the architectural evolution and scaling of our enterprise professional networking and campaign systems.
AI-Driven Development:
Integrate advanced AI development tools and LLMs into daily engineering workflows to accelerate coding, testing, and system design.
Legacy Modernization:
Guide architectural patterns for transforming complex monolithic structures into highly scalable, modern microservices.
Data Pipeline Engineering:
Architect and optimize robust, real-time data pipelines and distributed data processing systems.
Social Graph Modeling:
Optimize and evolve data models capable of handling massive, interconnected social graphs and real-time activity feeds.
Capacity & Scaling Management:
Lead system capacity planning and implement infrastructure strategies (such as "doubling up" infrastructure) to handle massive user scaling.
End-to-End Ownership:
Take full lifecycle ownership of core architectural concepts, system reliability, and performance.
Required Qualifications Experience:
10+ years of deep technical expertise in enterprise software engineering.
AI Proficiency :
Well-versed in leveraging advanced AI versions, tools, and workflows to optimize development efficiency and system performance.
Core Tech Stack:
Advanced mastery of Java and Spring Boot microservices ecosystem.
Cloud Architecture:
Extensive experience architecting high-performance, cloud-native solutions on AWS.
Event Streaming:
Proven track record optimizing automated data pipelines using Apache Kafka or similar messaging frameworks.
Distributed Systems:
Strong background in distributed data processing, real-time feeds, and complex event-driven architectures.
Ownership Mindset:
Experience taking complete ownership of large-scale platforms that involve massive user scaling and high architectural complexity.
