Job Description We are seeking a Network Platform Engineer to support and enhance Verizon's network monitoring and service assurance environment. This is not a traditional network engineering role focused on routing and switching. Instead, this position centers on Kubernetes platform support, observability, automation, Linux administration, and production operations. [Taylor Tro...to in chat | Teams], [Camille Fa...re in chat | Teams]ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support Kubernetes-based platforms and servicesManage cluster upgrades, deployments, troubleshooting, and platform reliabilityBuild and maintain automation using Golang, Python, and BashSupport Prometheus, Grafana, AlertManager, Splunk, and related observability toolsDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automationTroubleshoot Linux-based production environmentsSupport platform upgrades, migrations, and operational improvementsWork with teams to enhance monitoring, alerting, and service reliability Skills and Requirements -Strong Kubernetes administration experience, including:

Upgrades, Node management, Capacity planning , ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, and Helm-Platform engineering and production support experience-Linux administration and troubleshooting skills-Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, AlertManager, Elastic, or Splunk-CI/CD experience (GitLab preferred, Jenkins, ArgoCD/GitOps)-Development and automation experience in Golang, Python, or Bash-Strong troubleshooting and operational support mindset-Rancher/RKE or OpenShift-Terraform and Infrastructure as Code-AWS, Azure, or GCP-Oracle Unified Assurance (OUA/Assure1) or similar monitoring platforms-Telecom, NOC, OSS/BSS, network monitoring, or service assurance experience-AI-driven observability experience We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
