The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of operating system internals, memory management, multithreaded programming, and system-level APIs. This role requires hands-on development primarily in C++, with Java experience considered a plus. Working closely with architects, engineers, and product teams, you will develop robust and scalable software components that interact directly with operating system services and hardware resources while maintaining high standards for performance, reliability, and security. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain system-level software applications and services. Implement efficient and scalable solutions using C++ as the primary development language. Develop software components that interact directly with operating system services and APIs. Diagnose and resolve complex performance, memory, and concurrency issues. Design and maintain multithreaded applications with a focus on performance and stability. Analyze system behavior and troubleshoot issues across Windows and Linux environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and software architectures. Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices. Create and maintain technical documentation for software components and system designs. Develop automation and support scripts using Bash or similar scripting languages. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 8+ years of professional software development experience. 8+ years of professional software development experience, including strong hands-on C++ development. Java experience is a plus but does not substitute for the C++ requirement. Experience developing and debugging software in both Linux and Windows environments. Strong understanding of operating system internals, including: Memory management Process and thread management System calls Inter-process communication File systems and I/O operations Experience designing and implementing multithreaded or concurrent applications. Hands-on experience with debugging and performance analysis tools. Familiarity with Bash or other scripting languages for automation and system administration tasks. Experience using source control systems such as Git. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of kernel-level concepts and low-level system architecture. Experience with distributed systems or high-performance computing environments. Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and socket programming. Experience with container technologies such as Podman. Experience working in Agile development environments. Knowledge of secure coding practices and software performance optimization.
