JOB DETAILS POSITION SUMMARY
•Remote Oncology Data Specialist
•Part Time
POSITION DUTIES
•Collects, analyzes, and maintains accurate cancer registry data, ensuring compliance with reporting standards while supporting cancer program accreditation, clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and patient outcomes tracking.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Associates degree or equivalent in related field. Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) credential and/or (formerly known as) Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) credential from the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) 2 years experience in cancer registry field or similar field. Experience using computer data base systems. Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Experience using Microsoft Access and One Note. B.S. degree in Health Sciences, Health Information Management, or related discipline.
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT
•13-16 weeks
SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK
•Part Time 20hrs/week, Monday-Friday, (Acceptable work window 430am-11pm EST), No weekends SYSTEMS
•OncoLog, Cerner, OncoEMR, All Scripts, Aria, Mosaiq
