The Database Developer will work with SQL Server and other database technologies to create, modify, and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures. They will collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, and other teams to integrate databases with applications and ensure data integrity and performance. Experience with C# and property tax‑related data environments is highly preferred. Educational Background / Experience Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science or related field Minimum of 5 years of database development experience Experience working with SQL Server databases Background in tax systems , financial data , or regulatory data workflows is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
    Database Design and Development:
    Creating and modifying database schemas, tables, and other database structures to meet application requirements.
      SQL Programming:
      Writing, debugging, and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
      • Database Performance Tuning Monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions such as indexing, query optimization, and resource management.
      • Data Integrity and Security Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security by implementing appropriate policies, procedures, and security measures.
      • Database Administration Performing regular backups, recovery procedures, and other administrative tasks to ensure database availability and reliability.
      • Collaboration Working closely with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to integrate databases with applications and support data-driven decision making.
      • Documentation Creating and maintaining database documentation, including data models, schemas, and other relevant information.
      • Troubleshooting Identifying and resolving database-related issues, including performance problems, data errors, and security breaches.
      • Staying Up-to-Date Keeping abreast of the latest database technologies, best practices, and security trends.
      C# Application Integration Supporting .NET/C# applications, ensuring efficient database connectivity, query performance, and data flow. Property Tax System Data Support Working with tax‑related datasets, ensuring compliance with California R&T code requirements, and supporting property tax workflows. Required skills and qualifications : Strong SQL skills: Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures. Experience with SQL Server database systems. Experience with C# or supporting .NET‑based applications.
      Database design and development experience:
      designing, developing, and maintaining relational databases.
      Database administration experience:
      backups, recovery, performance tuning. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of data modeling principles and best practices. Understanding of data security principles , privacy regulations, and compliance standards. Experience working with tax, financial, or regulatory data preferred. About Brainsharp Inc.
