Hours:
28-30 Hours per Week Job Summary We are seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator for an 8-week travel assignment in George, Iowa . The MDS Coordinator will oversee the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensure timely and accurate completion of MDS assessments, maintain regulatory compliance, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support quality resident care in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities Complete and coordinate MDS assessments in accordance with CMS guidelines. Ensure accurate and timely completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI). Develop and maintain individualized resident care plans. Coordinate with nursing, therapy, dietary, and interdisciplinary teams. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. Monitor quality measures and implement performance improvement initiatives. Review clinical documentation for accuracy and reimbursement support. Participate in resident care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings. Maintain accurate documentation and records. Support survey readiness and regulatory compliance initiatives. Requirements Active RN or LPN License . Minimum 2 years of MDS Coordinator experience in a long-term care setting. Current BLS Certification . Strong knowledge of
MDS 3.0, RAI
process, CMS regulations, and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement. Excellent assessment, documentation, communication, and organizational skills. Experience with electronic medical records preferred. Pay:
