Job Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented and adaptable Junior Software Specialist to support the day-to-day management and optimization of our Rent Manager property management platform. In this role, you will help maintain the system, build automations and scripts, generate documents and reports, complete support tickets, and assist teams across the company with Rent Manager needs. Key Responsibilities o Assist in administering and maintaining our Rent Manager environment, including user setup, data integrity, configurations, and troubleshooting. o Create, customize, and maintain document templates (leases, notices, letters, statements) within Rent Manager. o Help build and maintain custom reports and dashboards for management, accounting, and property teams. o Support data cleanup, migrations, and integrations with other tools and systems. o Assist with ongoing projects such as process improvements, new feature rollouts, and system upgrades. o Support with Rent Manager tasks related to real estate transactions, including property/unit setup, tenant and ledger data, and transaction-related documents and reports. o Complete support tickets in a timely manner, tracking them from intake through resolution and escalating when needed. o Provide first-line support to team members on Rent Manager questions and issues. o Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and take on new tasks as business needs evolve. Required Qualifications o Scripting experience is a must (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, SQL, or similar), comfortable automating tasks and manipulating data. o Hands-on experience preferably with Rent Manager (or comparable property management software such as Yardi, AppFolio, or Buildium). o Experience with document generation and template creation. o Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. o Highly adaptable, with the ability to learn new systems quickly and juggle multiple priorities. o Strong communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset. Preferred Qualifications o Working knowledge of real estate transactions (leases, renewals, move-ins/move-outs, rent collection, security deposits, etc.). o Experience working on projects from planning through completion, ideally in a cross-functional setting. o Experience building reports (report writers, SQL queries, Excel/Power BI, or similar tools). o Experience working within a ticketing system (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, Freshdesk, or similar). o Familiarity with APIs and system integrations. o Basic accounting knowledge (AR/AP, ledgers) as it relates to property management.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
