DUTIES:
Assists with promoting and publicizing the District; creates content for social media, newsletters, and electronic communications; helps maintain the District website; responds to media inquiries; assists in planning special events; and performs related communication duties, including proofreading and photography. (This is a provisional Civil Service appointment)
SALARY:
$29.00 - $43.28 per hour, based on related experience, plus full-time benefits per the RHEA, Coalition Unit, Administrative Support Professionals Chapter. Review the Total Rewards of this position listed in the full contract at: www.rhnet.org/contracts
QUALIFICATIONS
Must currently hold the Civil Service title of Senior Information Specialist or be reachable for appointment from the current Civil Service Senior Information Specialist list of eligibles; OR have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Media Broadcasting, or related field plus one year of full-time experience involving the preparation and presentation of material for public dissemination, including news releases or special reports; OR have a Bachelor's degree plus two years of full-time experience as defined above; OR have Associate's degree plus four years of full-time experience as defined above. MUST take the next Civil Service exam for Senior Information Specialist and be reachable for appointment from the resulting list.
