Job Description

Position:

GIS Specialist Job Summary:

Complete all digital mapping on assigned projects

Job Duties:

Verify accuracy of data obtained from clients Sort and manipulate data obtained from clients Utilize ArcGIS software to build and publish maps to customer specifications Manage data to develop indexes and custom maps Complete assigned Specialty Map Projects Perform map maintenance for assigned counties

Responsibilities:

Recommend solutions for better efficiency on projects Work independently to accomplish established goals Work on schedule To be as thorough and accurate as possible Adapt to specific needs as required by project Identify and communicate any discrepancies with data

Skills Required:

Proficient with ESRI ArcGIS software, Microsoft Excel Ability to interpret parcel and other data Ability to read legal descriptions Work within a team environment Microsoft .NET Programming a plus
