Technology - Network Manager Job Description Manage the district's information systems including network installations, upgrades and maintenance of all hardware and software. Maintain the performance, upgrade and operation of the WAN and LAN infrastructures. Control the security aspects of all IT systems by implementing and managing the necessary firewalls, filters, proxy servers, etc. Maintain and upgrade VOIP phone system. Manage network protocols. (DNS, DHCP, WINS etc). Conduct research and perform testing to learn about new software and hardware that may improve network efficiency. Provide support for the compliance to all CIPA, COPPA, and SOPPA laws. Monitor and maintain backups for all network systems. Assist with District disaster and recovery plans with a focus on network infrastructure. Assist with website and assistive technology development. Responsible for all database system upgrades, release notes, and end user training. Develop and implement a systematic review and assessment of the district's technology systems and their effectiveness in meeting the district goals. Work with administration to manage technology portfolio and make recommendations based on efficiencies, cost, and new technologies.
