This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT operations that support production, food safety, and business functions. The IT Manager will manage hardware, software, networks, and data systems while ensuring compliance with company policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements. This role will report to the Director of Information Technology. Backup for the role is the Director. Key responsibilities
Manage and maintain all IT systems, including servers, networks, workstations, and production-related technology
Ensure system uptime to support continuous plant operations and minimize downtime
Provide technical support to office and production teams, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Oversee ERP systems, inventory systems, and RF/scanning technology used in operations
Maintain data integrity, backups, and disaster recovery processes
Ensure cybersecurity protocols are in place and followed, including user access controls and system monitoring
Support compliance with USDA, SQF, and internal audit requirements related to data systems and traceability
Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers for system upgrades, maintenance, and support
Manage IT projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements
Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices
Train employees in system usage and IT-related procedures
All other tasks as assigned Education / Training Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) Related Experience/Requirements Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment Qualifications
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, servers, and system administration
Experience with ERP systems, inventory management systems, and RF technology
Experience with cybersecurity practices, including user access controls, data protection, and system monitoring
Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
Ability to work independently and lead IT initiatives with minimal supervision
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment
Availability to respond to after-hours system or operational issues as needed
Ability to manage IT projects, vendors, and system implementations
Strong communication and leadership skills Physical Requirements Ability to work in both office and production environments Exposure to varying temperatures, including cold/refrigerated areas Ability to walk the production floor as needed Work in a cold refrigerated environment
