Position:
(Purpose of the Position): The Lion's Pause Student Tech Managers oversee the Lion's Pause Tech Team, which consists of 20-25 student employees. Tech Managers are responsible for staffing each event, training the Technicians, and maintaining the equipment and venue space. They coordinate with artists, student organizations, and contracted professionals to ensure all events run smoothly from a technical standpoint.

Oversee the scheduling, training, and management of all Tech staff. Hold three weekly office hours as a Lion's Pause executive member. Make yourself "on call" for venue tech needs and be present at large-scale Pause events (Pause Dances, cultural events, concerts, etc) Maintain tech and musical equipment and educate all Tech staff regarding the proper use and maintenance of equipment. Serve as a member of the Pause Executive Committee and attend required weekly meetings. Consult with Concert Board/Event Organizers as needed on upcoming events. Stay up to date with industry-standard technologies and trends
Qualifications:
(Education/Experience/Skills) Experience working as a Pause Tech or equivalent experience is required, displaying high technical curiosity and proficiency Ability to work and thrive under unpredictable, high-pressure environments Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc)
Physical and Environmental Factors:
This position requires lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs. and operating equipment or machinery to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to loud noise and heights or cramped quarters to perform the essential functions.
