Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) Job Description and Duties Under the supervision of the Nursing Coordinator or designee (Unit Supervisor) in the Centralized Staffing Office (CSO), the Analyst I performs technical, analytical staff services assignments such as preparing reports, analyzing data, and presenting ideas and recommendations on procedures, policies, and program alternatives in support of CSO operations. The Analyst I assists with data collection and entry, staffing operations support, attendance documentation, hiring and recruitment support, new employee onboarding, records management, and routine reporting. The Analyst I supports the maintenance of CSO tracking systems, standards, and procedures, and applies CalHR, Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and facility policies and procedures to assigned tasks. The Analyst I assists with the compilation of data utilized for facility reporting and Quality Assurance and performs assigned tasks with a reasonable degree of independence and initiative under supervision. Effective July 1, 2025, State employees are subject to a salary reduction of three (3) percent in exchange for five (5) hours per month of the Personal Leave. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

On-going interaction with staff and public contact in both the Secure Treatment Program and General Treatment Area. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and other conditions common to a nursing facility environment. Due to the nature of the job, telework is not authorized. Regular and consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must possess and maintain sufficient strength, agility, endurance, and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in this duty statement. The position requires prolonged sitting and extensive use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment. The Analyst I will work on a personal computer for extended periods of time to enter data and prepare spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence. Permanent, Full Time Department Information The California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions. Services are provided through state-operated developmental centers and community facilities, and contracts with 21 nonprofit regional centers. The regional centers serve as a local resource to help find and access the services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
