Job Overview:

Modutek is seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to manage and support our internal IT infrastructure. This role requires a well-rounded IT professional who is comfortable working across servers, networking, security systems, and end-user support. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to maintain core systems while supporting the daily technology needs of our organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

: Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructure , including Hyper-V virtualization, data storage VMs, Domain Controllers, Active Directory, and Group Policy. Monitor and maintain virtualized environments to ensure system performance, stability, and uptime. Administer and support SQLite databases used by internal systems and applications. Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure , including SonicWall and Zyxel firewalls, UniFi network devices, switches, routers, and wireless access points. Install, terminate, and test CAT6 network cabling to support office and facility network infrastructure. Deploy and manage endpoint security tools including ThreatLocker, SentinelOne, and the N-able security stack . Administer Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online , including user provisioning, email groups, permissions, and troubleshooting. Provide technical support to employees by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and network diagrams to support operational clarity and future troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). Experience supporting Windows-based environments and troubleshooting end-user systems. Basic understanding of networking concepts, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networks. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate technical information clearly and work effectively with non-technical users.

Preferred Experience:

Candidates do not need experience with all of the following , but familiarity with some of these technologies is beneficial: Windows Server administration and Active Directory Hyper-V virtualization Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online SonicWall or similar firewall administration UniFi networking infrastructure Endpoint security platforms such as SentinelOne, ThreatLocker, or N-able SQLite database management Network cabling and CAT6 termination Certifications (Optional but Valued) CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+ CompTIA Security+ Microsoft Windows Server certifications Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) SonicWall or other network security certifications We encourage candidates to apply even if they do not meet every qualification listed.
