We are looking for a Systems Administrator to support a growing IoT platform environment for a telecom services organization in North Carolina. This contract opportunity with permanent potential focuses on day-to-day platform administration, device and SIM lifecycle coordination, and frontline operational support for internal teams and business users. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting ability, maintains accurate records, and works effectively with technical partners, carriers, and customer-facing teams to keep services running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Administer the organization's IoT connectivity platform on a daily basis, ensuring reliable operation and consistent platform governance.
Manage the full device and SIM lifecycle, including provisioning, activations, suspensions, reactivations, plan updates, and service cancellations.
Maintain accurate system data by updating inventories, validating database records, and performing routine platform housekeeping.
Monitor dashboards and usage trends to identify connectivity problems, inactive devices, and unusual consumption patterns, then take appropriate action.
Respond to user requests from call center and field operations teams, delivering timely support and meeting established service expectations.
Serve as the main point of coordination among business stakeholders, operations teams, wireless carriers, vendors, and platform support resources.
Resolve entry-level platform issues directly and escalate more complex incidents to the appropriate technical teams when needed.
Configure and maintain platform settings such as device naming standards, tagging structures, alerts, access controls, and usage policies.
Produce operational, inventory, and usage reports while helping improve documentation, knowledge articles, and audit readiness.
Support onboarding activities for new devices and users, including basic guidance and training on platform processes.
