Job Description
What This Job Actually Is This is a full-time, in-shop technician role working in a well-equipped, professional service department. You'll be diagnosing and repairing equipment in a controlled environment with full access to tooling, support staff, and parts inventory—no chasing jobs in the field or dealing with the elements. We primarily service John Deere equipment, along with compact construction, turf, and power equipment. Why Techs Choose This Role Competitive hourly pay (starting at $30 /hr based on experience) Consistent schedule (no unpredictable field dispatching) Strong parts + service support (less downtime waiting on parts) Steady, year-round workload Opportunity for advancement and manufacturer training What You'll Be Doing Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems Work on tractors, loaders, mowers, and compact construction equipment Use OEM diagnostic tools including John Deere Service ADVISOR Complete work orders with clear documentation Collaborate with service team and advisors to keep workflow moving Assist with mentoring junior techs as needed What We're Looking For 3-5+ years experience in diesel / equipment repair Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and engines Ability to work efficiently in a team environment Pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail Tools & Requirements Must have a solid personal toolset Comfortable using computers for diagnostics and service documentation Ability to operate equipment for testing and repair Bonus Points (Not Required) Experience with John Deere equipment OEM training or certifications Technical school or associate degree Benefits 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance HSA + life insurance Paid time off Employee discounts Straight Talk We're looking for technicians who take pride in their work and can produce consistent, high-quality repairs.
