Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Systems Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and management of our IT infrastructure. Duties Manage and maintain enterprise server environments including Windows Server, Linux, VMware ESXi, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Oversee system architecture design, including configuration management, load balancing, and storage management using RAID controllers and other advanced storage solutions. Implement and support automation processes utilizing scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, Python, and Shell Scripting to streamline system administration tasks. Conduct system troubleshooting for hardware, software, network issues, and security breaches with a focus on rapid resolution to minimize downtime. Administer Active Directory management, DNS configuration, DHCP setup, firewall policies, VPNs, and network security protocols to ensure robust IT infrastructure security. Perform server backup and recovery operations ensuring data integrity using tools compatible with SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL solutions. Design scalable solutions using microservices architecture with Kubernetes containers while supporting DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins or Git. Support software implementation and administration for enterprise applications including Pegasystems or similar platforms; troubleshoot software issues proactively. Collaborate with systems engineering teams to optimize performance tuning across operating systems and applications for maximum efficiency. Maintain documentation of system configurations, updates, patches, and procedures aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards. Experience Proven experience in system administration within complex IT environments involving Windows Server administration and Linux systems. Strong background in solution architecture design for enterprise systems utilizing virtualization (VMware ESXi), containerization (Kubernetes), and cloud services (AWS/Azure). Hands-on expertise in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python for automation tasks. Demonstrated knowledge of network security practices including firewall management, VPN setup, DNS/DHCP configuration, and information security protocols. Experience managing databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server; familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices is a plus. Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban; experience supporting SDLC processes for software development projects. Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software/network issues efficiently while providing technical support across multiple platforms.
